Jason Fike may not fit the typical image of a poet when you think of poetry. He proudly identifies as a redneck who enjoys fishing, not conforming to the stereotypical poet persona. Yet, when prompted by the Lord to delve into the realm of songwriting and poetry, Jason heeded the call. To his surprise, he found that crafting poetry offered a unique avenue to share the gospel beyond conventional conversations or witnessing efforts. It became a creative and artistic means to explore specific biblical themes and aspects of his faith in Christ. Recognizing the brokenness of the world, Jason is driven by the importance of helping the spiritually blind gain insight.
Jason is married to his beautiful wife Cathleen and they are raising 3 amazing children. Both Jason and Cathleen have experienced spiritual rebirth and are profoundly grateful for the transformative work that God has done in their lives.
Jason and his whole family have a deep passion for fishing, especially focusing on larger species like sharks and redfish. Rest assured, no harm came to any sharks during the capture of this photo – this particular shark swam away strong!
